Competition Terms and Conditions
Competition: “Who builds rugby in your community?“
Starting date: 12 October.
Ending date: 9 November.
The promoter of this competition is Sanlam Life Insurance Limited (“Promoter”). The Promoter will be giving away, the prizes below.
The nominator, nominee and 2 friends win:
- Signed Boland Kavalier’s jersey & Club Finalist jersey
- VIP Sanlam Top 12 Finals experience: gazebo, blue coach, cooler bag, meal vouchers, VIP bands, leading the team out of the tunnel, meet and greet the Finalists during the warm-up.
There will be two winners, from two different regions.

By entering this competition, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which will govern this competition.
To enter, all entrants must provide their full names, date of birth and contact details (contact number and email address). We may require you to provide additional information and details as may be reasonably necessary to confirm and facilitate your acceptance and use of a prize.
Failure to supply all required information will result in disqualification or forfeiture of the prize.
By entering this competition, you consent to the filming and taking of your images and use of your images/footage of you receiving the prize or at the Sanlam Top 12 Final for publicity purposes. Winners may decline to participate in any promotional activity by notifying the Promoter within 7 days of being notified that they have won. All promotional material will become the sole property of the Promoter.
Eligibility to Enter
The competition is only open to South Africans over the age of 18 residing in South Africa.
Directors, members, partners, employees, or agents of, or consultants or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter or any supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition or the spouse, life partner, business partner or any immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforementioned, are not eligible to enter this competition.
How winners will be selected
All valid entries will go into a lucky draw by selecting random winners by the Promoter from when the competition opens until entries close at 00h00. Any entries received after this time will not be considered. Winners will be contacted by cell phone and will need to supply supporting information via email. If the Promoter is unable to contact a winner within 48 hours, such winner will forfeit their prize, and the Promoter reserves the right to redraw another winner.
One entry per person is allowed.
The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend the competition or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without prior notice in the event of technical or other difficulties that may compromise the competition’s integrity or due to circumstances outside of the Promoter’s control.
The Promoter and its agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in participating in the competition.
All decisions of the Promoter regarding the terms and conditions, the competition and/or the prizes are final and unappealable.
The prizes may not be transferred, assigned, substituted or altered, except by the Promoter at its sole and absolute discretion, due to unavailability of the prize, in which event, the prize may be substituted for one of comparable or similar value by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you indemnify the Promoter, its affiliates, its advertising agencies, advisers, and agents against any and all claims, damages or loss by you or your partner (where applicable) in relation to your participation in this competition and/or acceptance and/or use by you or your partner of a prize.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its affiliates, agents, directors, officers and employees will not be held responsible for any direct, incidental or consequential loss or damage that any person may incur in relation to any information the Promoter provides in relation to the competition. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude the liability of the Promoter for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Processing of Personal Information
Any personal information of the entrants and winners (“Personal Information”) will be processed and stored securely by the Promoter in accordance with their internal policies and the Protection of Personal Information Act 2013 (“POPIA”). The Promoter will use your Personal Information only for the purposes of fulfilling obligations and/or exercising rights pursuant to these terms and conditions, to comply with the Promoter’s legal obligations and for compatible purposes. The Promoter may process your Personal Information strictly as is necessary for the competition and the purposes set out in these terms and conditions. The Promoter will share your Personal Information with affiliates within its group of companies, agents and with third party service providers, some of which are located outside of the Republic of South Africa, strictly as is necessary to fulfil its obligations and/or exercise its rights under these terms and conditions. The Promoter will ensure that any third party who processes your Personal Information on its behalf shall take measures to protect your Personal Information in accordance with the requirements of POPIA. Any queries or complaints regarding the processing of your Personal Information may be sent to informationofficer@sanlam.co.za All entrants and winners are required to ensure that any Personal Information submitted as part of the competition is complete, accurate and up to date, and the Promoter must be notified promptly in the event of any updates to the Personal Information.
